Info
Privacy
The site is built to run on as little data as possible: no real name, no advertising profile, no third-party tracker. Here is exactly what is collected, why, and how to delete all of it.
What we collect
- A visitor cookie (fm_visitor, one year): a randomly drawn anonymous key that guarantees one vote per duel per person. It is tied to no identity.
- Your account, if you create one: an email address, a handle and a password stored hashed (bcrypt), never in clear text. The account only exists to tie your photos to your handle and follow their stats.
- Your photos: recompressed on upload, their EXIF metadata is stripped — GPS location included. What gets published contains nothing but the image.
What we never collect
Never a real name, address or phone number. No data is sold or shared. Audience measurement runs on a self-hosted tool (Umami) that works without cookies and only produces aggregate statistics.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data at any time: your photos and your account are managed from My space, and the contact page answers any other request (access, rectification, deletion). Removing a photo pulls it out of the duel rotation and the leaderboard.
Retention
The visitor cookie expires after one year. Your account and photos are kept until you delete them.
